We ask that all reservations are made at least 1 month in advance.
50% of your total rental fee must be collected and submitted with a signed Rental Agreement in order for the event to be secured on the Wesselman Woods calendar.
Any remaining rental fees must be paid, in full, seven days before the event.

RENTals at Wesselman Woods
Choose Wesselman Woods, the largest urban old-growth forest in the country! Wesselman Woods is a nature lover’s dream with over 4 miles worth of trails. Enjoy the backdrop of tulip trees, sugar maples, and spring wildflowers. Wesselman Woods is also home to one of the largest Nature Playscapes in the country. This magnificent play area is not only for children but also adventurous adults!
Events are held during normal working operations, from 9 AM – 5 PM*

Held in the Toyota Large Classroom, located inside the Nature Center.
Private Party Room with 30-minutes of setup time beforehand.
3-hour maximum rental
Group size limit for the party room is 40 people.
Use of tables and chairs to arrange as you wish.
Please note: we do NOT allow balloons, glitter, rice, or confetti on our property or in our nature center, due to the threats they pose to wildlife.

30-minute guided hike - $65 (15 participant maximum)

Use of small covered outdoor shelter which holds enough space for 2 - six foot tables. This allows enough space for presents and food. Guest seating at picnic tables.
Use of picnic tables near by with a seating capacity of 30 guest.

RENTals at Howell Wetlands
Or go with Howell Wetlands, one of Indiana’s largest urban wetlands! The Howell Wetlands Conservation Station gives you a beautiful view of the prairie nestled inside of the oxbow lake. Enjoy over 35-acres of a variety of habitats, including a marsh, slough, and remnant river oxbow. Bald cypress trees tower over the wetlands – interspersed with oak and maple trees. Beavers have made Howell Wetlands their home – check out the number of lodges at Howell. Cranes, migrating birds, coyotes, bobcats, raccoons, and possums can all be spotted at Howell Wetlands.
