MAple Sugarbush Festival

First Saturday and Sunday in March

Find out what's cooking in the Maple Sugar Shack and indulge in an all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast. There will be guided hikes into our very own sugarbush, fun and educational activities for kids, and animal encounters. All proceeds will benefit the ongoing work of Wesselman Woods.

EARTH DAY

Mid-to-Late April

We are so fortunate to have the largest tract of urban old-growth forest right here in Evansville. You can share the good news about this ecological and cultural treasure by joining us at Wesselman Woods to celebrate all things EARTH! Each year on Earth Day, we have a full day of events lined up to celebrate nature and all of its beauty. You can join us for guided hikes, animal encounters, community partners, educational programs and guided activities.

WOodland Wonders

Mid-September

Step beyond the mundane of the everyday and into Woodland Wonders, where the ancient forest stirs with stories of fairies, forest folk, and forgotten lore. This fall, Wesselman Woods invites you to experience the magic that lives beneath the leaves—where moss can become a stage, mushrooms mark mysterious paths, and every overturned log is a gateway to wonder.

ART EXHIBITION

Calling all artists!

Each year, Wesselman Woods hosts an annual juried community art contest.

This contest provides an opportunity for members of the community to showcase what they love or what they are concerned about within our bioregion through a visual medium.
