The talent and dedication of our interns has produced incredible results. From building databases of tree types and wildflowers to crafting the outline and materials for a nature-themed art show, interns at Wesselman Woods have produced truly impactful work.

We have a wide range of opportunities for you to grow your skills - be it in research, education, or marketing. We hope you will consider joining Wesselman Woods in our mission to create experiences that connect people and nature, motivating them to lead sustainable lives and take action to protect our environment.

Below are brief descriptions of the positions for which we currently need interns. Note: some positions require further specialized training, which will be provided periodically when needed.

Internship Positions

  • This internship seeks a self-motivated, creative individual with excellent organizational and communication skills.

    Work with Wesselman Woods staff to provide assistance on school or group programs that cover a variety of topics for diverse audiences. Program content may include loosely-structured conversation or activities, hikes, demonstrations, laboratory investigations, animal encounters, or earth-based programs.

    Interns must be willing to help organize and assist with early learning resources, community engagement activities, partner meetings, etc. Interns must also be able to pass a criminal and sex offender background check.

    Time Requirement: 5-20 hours per week

    Availability: Tuesday-Saturday

    Requirements: Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an accredited college or university.
