We have a wide range of opportunities for you to grow your skills - be it in research, education, or marketing. Please note that all internships at Wesselman Woods are unpaid. Our flexible internships, tailored to student interests, offer valuable career experience and free access to the nature preserve.

Below are brief descriptions of the positions for which we currently need interns. Note: some positions require further specialized training, which will be provided periodically when needed.

Internship Positions

  • This internship seeks a self-motivated, creative individual with excellent organizational and communication skills.

    Work with Wesselman Woods staff to provide assistance on school or group programs that cover a variety of topics for diverse audiences. Program content may include loosely-structured conversation or activities, hikes, demonstrations, laboratory investigations, animal encounters, or earth-based programs.

    Interns must be willing to help organize and assist with early learning resources, community engagement activities, partner meetings, etc. Interns must also be able to pass a criminal and sex offender background check.

    Time Requirement: 5-20 hours per week

    Availability: Tuesday-Saturday

    Requirements: For individuals 18 and older
