The trails and Nature Center at Wesselman Woods will be closed to the public due to the ice storm.

Post-ice storm assessments are in and here's the situation. Ice on the roads and parking lots into Wesselman Park and Wesselman Woods is still at a dangerous level (one employee's car did a 180 on the way in today and another employee took a tumble in the parking lot).

Due to tree fall: some of the boarded walkways will need replaced. We have caution-taped these areas to block trails. These trails will be closed until things melt and there is access to repair.

With these major concerns and everyone's safety in mind: we will be CLOSED on Thursday-Saturday (January 9-11).

We hope to reopen as soon as possible! But only if it is safe to do so. We will continue to assess the situation and provide updates.
