In partnership with Little Willows: Weddings-Events-Designs, we are now offering Wesselman Woods and Howell Wetlands as unique wedding venues for your upcoming outdoor ceremony and/or reception!

Here, your special day becomes a celebration not only of your love but of the natural beauty that surrounds you. These enchanting settings offer a peaceful, intimate atmosphere, perfect for couples seeking a wedding with a unique and eco-friendly touch.

By hosting your wedding at one of our locations, you also contribute to the preservation of these precious ecosystems, making your day one that gives back to nature. Whether you dream of a simple outdoor ceremony or a grander celebration, our stunning venues provide a backdrop as timeless as your love.

Little Willows will oversee all wedding arrangements, bookings, and decor for special occasions taking place within Wesselman Woods and Howell Wetlands. Little Willows has also secured a special agreement with Venue 812 and Kitchen 812, located in close proximity to Wesselman Woods to provide indoor reception options.

  • We ask that reservations are made at least 1 month in advance of proposed event date.

  • 50% of your total rental fee must be collected and submitted with a signed Rental Agreement in order for the event to be secured on the Wesselman Woods calendar.

RENT Wesselman Woods

Choose Wesselman Woods, nestled in the middle of Evansville, where you will find the largest urban old-growth forest in the United States.

Enjoy the backdrop of tulip trees, sugar maples, and spring wildflowers at the Odonata Pond Amphitheater. Or venture inside of the Welborn Baptist Foundation Nature Playscape for a fun ceremony!

RENT Howell Wetlands

Or go with Howell Wetlands, one of Indiana’s largest urban wetlands! The Howell Wetlands Conservation Station gives you a beautiful view of the prairie nestled inside of the oxbow lake.

Enjoy over 35-acres of a variety of habitats, including a marsh, slough, and remnant river oxbow. Bald cypress trees tower over the wetlands – interspersed with oak and maple trees.

Cranes, migrating birds, coyotes, bobcats, raccoons, and possums can all be spotted at Howell Wetlands.
