We Did It! 2023 Giving Update
We Did It! $25,000 Goal Exceeded!
Thanks to the support of wonderful people like you, we EXCEEDED our fundraising goal of $25,000. With our donor match, Wesselman Woods raised well over $60,000 by December 31, 2023 and some end of year donations are still coming in!
This was no small feat and we are so grateful to the community for making this happen. You have given us a STRONG foundation to start 2024 and we can't wait to share what's in store for this year.
THANK YOU for your continued support of our mission to protect and preserve Wesselman Woods and Howell Wetlands for future generations.
Message from the Executive Director
As a leader, I feel the immense pressure of balancing public expectations, fulfilling board and member expectations, navigating complex decades-old challenges, managing organizational demands, and so much more.
Despite challenges like these, we accomplished so much in 2023. I am humbled and grateful that the weight I carry was dispersed by a dedicated staff, a motivated board, an incredible group of volunteers, and our supportive community.
The first couple weeks of 2024 have been nothing short of fantastic for numerous reasons so I would like to express a heartfelt thank you. Your support in helping us achieve our goals, preaching our mission, dedicating your time, space, and energy through volunteering, and showing respect and love for Wesselman Woods and Howell Wetlands is immensely appreciated.
The team at Wesselman Woods may be small, but they are the most dedicated, caring, funny, welcoming, and knowledgeable group I've had the privilege to work alongside.
We may be a small team but we are a force of nature—and we are not slowing down.
Watch out, because we're just getting started.
